We at the Manufactured Housing Alliance of New York  have come together to achieve one goal: for all Tenants to have equal rights all across the board in our state of New York. For too long, Manufactured home tenants have long been abused by the system that is currently in place, and it is our mission to change the circumstances that all live in. from uniting communities, to improving the living conditions, and creating a place where all Tenants can feel like their voices are being heard.

Our Journey began when Amber, our current President had learned of how the system failed the manufactured home communities, and how easily they were being exploited for a profit. Amber and her family were sold a home that was promised to be everything perfect about a manufactured home. as many others across our state have also been promised.

After some time of living in her community, she began to talk with her neighbors, and after some conversation, it was noted that it wasn't just her that had to deal with it. Almost everyone in the community had some kind of issue, both major and minor. At this point, Amber had created a Tenant board for the communities affected. 

​

After many difficulties, it had become apparent that the extent of the issues that tenants deal with are overwhelming. With only one tenant board, you can only deal with a few parks, however with MHANY, all Tenant boards across New York can share, support, and care for each other.
